Whenever information is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and the Employee Handbook (EH), sometimes the information may contradict. In those events, the CBA will supersede the EH.
When in doubt, please contact your base leadership, your Dependability leadership or AFA representative. Having clear information about your situation from the CBA or EH will arm you with crucial information to make a good decision.
In the CBA, Article 5 covers scheduling issues, Article 6 Covers Reserve items, Article 8 covers Sick Time, Article 12 Covers Leaves of Absences and Article 23 has Commuter Clause information. These are not all the resources, but the primary articles that relate to Dependability.
