Get to Know Orlando International Airport

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the 13th-busiest airport in the United States and the 29th-busiest in the world. Orlando is one of the most-visited cities in the world primarily driven by tourism, major events, and convention traffic; in 2018, the city drew more than 75 million visitors. The airport code MCO stands for the airport's former name, McCoy Air Force Base, that was closed in 1975 as part of a general military draw down following the end of the Vietnam War.

Orlando International Airport is located at  1 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Orlando, FL.

The airport consists of one main check-in terminal which feeds to 4 smaller departure terminals. The main terminal has two sides – Side A and Side B.

Frontier Airlines ticket counter is located on A-2 and baggage carousels are on Side A. Flights operate out of Airside 1 utilizing gates 10-19, however, some flights do occasionally arrive and depart out of gates 20-29.

There are two Known Crew Member (KCM) Checkpoints at MCO;

  • Gates 1-59 KCM is located to the right-hand side of the Gates 1-59 Checkpoint, next to the Wheelchair lane. Use this for Frontier gates.
  • Gates 70-129 KCM is located on the left side of the Security Checkpoint, just past Starbucks®.
